Willis Hester are buried in a small fenced-in family cemetery atop a hill, just north of Tremont, where they reared their family. The location is about two miles north of Tremont on the right of the highway (Cotton Gin Road) where it intersects with Highway 23. Inscriptions on the tombstones are as follows: Hester Anner M. Hester Richard R. Hester August 20, 1869 July 9, 1869 April 11, 1948 July 2, 1931 According to Mrs. Whitehead, Richard Hester placed a pile of rocks under some pine trees and told his family he wanted to be buried there.
