    3. Roger S. Davis, 71, of Mantachie died at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, October 26 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Methodist Church with Bro. Silas Johnson, Bro. Don Sparks and Bro. Randle Davis officiating. Burial was in Walton Cemetery with Senter Funeral Home of Fulton in charge of the arrangements. A native of Itawamba County, Mr. Davis was a retired farmer. He held membership in the Friendship Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mable Moore Davis of Mantachie, three sons, Joe S. Davis and Ralph Davis, both of Mantachie and Roger S. Davis Jr. of Plantersville, three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Parker of Drew, Mrs. Jacquelene Webb of Tupelo and Mrs. Patricia Beck of Mantachie; one brother, Rex Davis of Fulton; four sisters, Mrs. Charlie Lee Gillentine of Fulton and Miss Williw Davis, Mrs. Jackie Pearl Riley and Mrs. Reba Stanley, all of Mantachie; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mr. Davis' nephews.

    3. Father of Roger S. Davis Sr. was Issac R. Davis (Issac's parents were Joseph S. Davis and Martha Brown), mother was Sarah C. Porter (Sarah's parents were Charlie Porter and Roberta Rogers). Parents of Mabel Moore Davis were Burt Greenbury Moore Jr. (Burt's parents were George Washington Moore and Martha Ann Medley) and Lucy Rebecca Stovall (Lucy's parents were Peter Wynn Stovall and Nancy Ann Sheffield).
