Itawamba County Times - October 4, 1956 Funeral services were held Sunday for W. B. Farris, 74, of Route 1, Golden. Mr. Farris died after a short illness from a heart ailment. He had lived in and around Golden all of his life and was a retired farmer. Death came at 10:00 p.m. Friday night. Services were conducted from the Antioch Church with burial in Butler Cemetery. The deceased had been a member of the Red Bay Church of God for years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. B. Farris of Golden; three sons, Nolen Farris of Belmont; Grady Farris of Golden and Arlis of Arkansas; three daughters, Mrs. Varnie Williams of Belmont, Mrs. Cecil Pruitt of Gary, Indiana and Mrs. Hester Keeton of Missouri. In addition he is survived by two brothers, Luther Farris of Double Springs, Ala., and Dexter Farris of Red Bay and a sister, Mrs. Pattie Hall of Russellville, Ala.
