He married Jean Jaggers and had four children: Peter, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Samuel. grandparents were: Elizabeth Seeley married Henry Harden and had two sons, John and Henry Jr. Father John Harden m. Hannah Boyd August 04, 1788 and had a son, John Seeley Harden, who moved to Itawamba county. He married Nancy Lee in SC and they are buried in the Harden Cemetery.
