Wanell: My information on N. Ford is from the Compiled Service Records. My extraction from same reads: "Private N. Ford -- captured Senatobia, MS, 5/13/63; sent to Provost Marshall, LaGrange, TN; no other records have been found for this soldier as a member of the 43rd; his inclusion as a member of the 43rd is surely a clerical error." In other words, the only documentation that we have showing N. Ford as an Itawamba Tiger is a single capture record, which may be in error. Do you have other documentation that proves he was in the 43rd? I would be very happy to hear that you do! Do you have letters, diaries, and/or photos of N. Ford? Do you know what the "N." stands for? If you have any info whatsoever on him or his service in the 43rd, please advise!!!!! Thanks!
