Jeanie, Yes, my Cockrells came out of Greene County, Alabama. I believe that my Cockrell page is up already. I just can't remember the direct link to it. My Cockrells moved to Alabama from NC around 1824 or so. They went to Itawamba County sometime before 1844 when Nancy Cockrell married John H. Hester there.
