    3. Jeanie, Yes, my Cockrells came out of Greene County, Alabama. I don't have everything up (just my direct lines--but I do collect info on collateral ones), but you can check out my web site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lorithor/ Click on the "My Families" option and it will take you to a list of families I'm researching. I believe that my Cockrell page is up already. I just can't remember the direct link to it. My Cockrells moved to Alabama from NC around 1824 or so. They went to Itawamba County sometime before 1844 when Nancy Cockrell married John H. Hester there.
