MARTHA SELENA ROBINSON Notes: This couple moved to Marion Co, AL., around 1840, and settled near what is now known as Shottsville and raised their family. They were living just south of Tremont, MS. on what is now known as the DOW STONE farm near their son, JOHN TAYLOR ROBINSON in 1880. Soon after their son moved back to Shottsville and John E. died at his home and was brought back to Mt. Pleasant on a wagon. A great granddaughter, MADELINE ROBINSON MAXEY, of Tremont, can remember her grandmother tell her about ringing the bell when JOHN E. died. This was to bring family in from the fields.
