    3. >From the Fulton News Beacon - March 11, 1943 Sgt. Raplh B. Elliott, son of Marvin Elliott who has been in the service for two years is now stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado. Pvt. Shelby Gilmore, son of Mrs. Amy Gilmore who entered the service in November was transferred from Fort McClellan, AL to New York. Pvt. Gilmore was clerk at Fulton Post Office prior to entering the service. Pvt. Lloyd S. Patton returned to Camp Crockett, Texas, Tuesday after a 10 day furlough at home. His wife returned to Camp with him. Pvt. Eugene L. Duncan, grandson of Mrs. M. E. Gillespie is stationed at Gainesville, Florida. Pvt. Cloyce D. Pierce, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Trannie Pierce has been graduated from the Army Air Forces Technical Training Command School, Gulfport, Mississippi, for airplane mechanics and is ready to take his place on the furflung service lines of this global war. Among those home on furlough are: Pvt. Darus S. Graham from Camp Rucker, AL Pvt. Ruble Robinson from Ft. Riley, KS Pvt. Vernon Brown from Camp Meade, DE Pvt. Vonnie Johnson from Camp Gorden, GA Mrs. Dorsey Moore has been notified that her husband, Pvt. Dorsey Moore has landed safely oversea. F. M. 1-c Ira B. Moncreif who has been home on a 15 day furlough returned to California. Pvt. James B. Davis, who is stationed at Camp Shelby has been home on a 11 day furlough and visited his wife Mary Lou Davis, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fredrick of Smithville.
