Thanks for the information on the children of Abner Lee Files. The Manley b: 1806 is "believed" to be my ancestor, the father of James Melburn Files. However, I haven't been able to locate "proof". I was hoping there would be a Probate/Estate Record on file in the courthouse that listed his children. The DAR requires positive proof and supporting documentation. Needless to say, that's what I'm trying to find. Any suggestions? Billie
