Thank you, Bill Garner My g.g.grandparents, LEWIS and MARY GARNER, moved to Itawamba County in 1857. Lewis bought a parcel of land in the county from A.M.K. Stovall. Lewis & Mary's children that lived in this area were: HENRY GARNER (1828-1887), SUSANNA (GARNER)MCINTOSH(1830-1900)married GEORGE W. MCINTOSH, GIDEON GEORGE GARNER(1835-1904), JOHN GARNER(1840-1917), LEMUEL GARNER(1842-1934)& MARY ELIZABETH(GARNER)MIDDLEBROOKS(1848-). My great grandparents are Gideon George Garner and ELIZABETH(WATSON) GARNER(1830-1888). Elizabeth was born in Alabama and her parents were JOHN & ELLENOR WATSON,both were born in in VA. about 1790. After Elizabeth's death Gideon married AMARILLA(RILLA)PARHAM MCDONALD. Their children were:PORTER GARNER(1891-1957)who married LIBBY HATLEY, PEARL(GARNER)BAILEY, married FRED BAILEY, and VIRGIE (GARNER) HAMPTON(b.1894) married D. JORDAN HAMPTON.
