Hi, Deborah, I'm a Roberts of Itawamba extraction, who also has Hankins in my family lines. All of the following were from Itawamba County. My father was Ray Conwill Roberts (b. 1922), son of Robert Victor Roberts (b. 1882) and Ida Brinkley Conwill (b. 1883 if memory serves. Robert Victor had a brother named Johnnie B. (b. 1870), who married Dovie Wilson. They had 4 children, Archie, Winfred (William), Letha, and Celeste. These children were all born sometime between 1890 and 1905. Johnnie & Victor were the sons of Clercy Ann (Clarissa) Roberts (b. 1845). We're not sure who their father was, as Clercy wasn't married. Clercy's parents were John B. Roberts & Jane Cochran (both originally from the Carolinas). They had a slew of other children, whose names I can't recall offhand, though I do have that information on my computer at home. I suspect that if there is a connection in our families, that it might be also from the Hankins side, which would be in Ida Melvina Conwill's line. Ida's parents: Isaac Brinkley Conwill & Sarah Elizabeth Parker. Sarah Parker's parents: Micajah Parker, Jr., and Martha Matilda Hankins. As someone may have suggested to you, perhaps Minnie was a nickname? If you think that there could be a connection here, I'll be happy to send you more info. This sounds like a good possibility. I have 4 Martha Hankins in my data, and it could be one of them. I would be interested in seeing your data. I have lots of Hankins information, and several other Itawamba Co lines which I would be happy to share if you are interested. The Martha Hankins in my family line was Matilda Martha Hankins, born in Tennessee about 1832 (father, Isaac?, mother unknown). She married Micajah "Cage" Parker, Jr. on January 12, 1847, died September 9, 1863 in Itawamba County and is, I'm told, buried in the Lentz Family Cemetery. Sarah Elizabeth Parker, their daughter, later married Isaac Brinkley Conwill, my great grandfather. Any matches? Joyce
