    3. Hi List, I have been looking for my Fathers family for what seems to be a lifetime now,and I think they must have been aliens from some other planet. I thought I would try again in hopes someone might have seen these names- husband- JEFFERSON FRELON HALEY wife- MARY MELISSA CLAYTON,born abt 1863,Dekalb Co.Alabama,died 1930 Walker County Alabama.her father was THOMPSON CLAYTON,born abt 1823 SC. her mother PATIENCE MALINDA BRASHER? It was said that my Great grandfather Jefferson Frelon Haley was in the navy during the civil war,and met Melissa on a visit in Fulton Ms.they were married 4-25-1886-Lee County Ms. Mary Melissa Clayton Haley had brothers,Noah,Elijah,Daniel,Nathaniel sisters,Aquilla,Elizabeth. Jefferson and Melissa,lived at some point in Oklahoma,and reared they children there who were- Mamie J V, aka Jethro Alta Frances Ozella Noah Thomas Hattie. Jefferson Frelon Haley was said to have died of consumption,abt 1900 in Oklahoma,where? J V,or Jethro my grandfather married ANNIE E WESTMORELAND,dau of Tom Westmoreland,she was born 1-01-1890 Pontotoc county Ms,mother unknown to me. her sisters were- Susan Fannie Lillie marr. O.Prentis Russell,two of their children were Luster,or Lester,and Prentis his wifes name was Mattie. Last known whereabouts was 1974,Lambert Ms.Route 3. brothers were- Oscar Joe Pinky mar. Clair? Please anyone with any info on this family,please let me know. Betsy

    3. Hello all, I recently joined the Itawamba Historical Society and I plan on attending the June 19 meeting. Is anyone here a member? I would like to get some information on what research/reference material is available from the IHS, and have a few other questions. Thanks! Wayne
