    3. Dear Mr. Pate On some of your records you have Joseph Marlin Raper & his wife Dessie Raper dying at Maud, OK. He really died at Seminole, Seminole Co., OK, and she died at Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co., OK. Here is what their obits say. Seminole Producer, Wednesday, April 3, 1968, page 2, 3rd col. J. M. Raper Rites Set for Thursday In local Chapel: Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sommerville-Swearingen-Arnhart Chapel for J. M. Raper, 81, of route one, city. Mr. Raper died Tuesday in Seminole Municipal Hospital. Officiating clergyman will be the Rev. Herman McMullin of Wewoka. Burial will be in Little Cemetery. Born March 6, 1887, in Mississippi, Mr. Raper had lived in Seminole County since 1918. A retired farmer, he was a member of Jarvis Assembly of God Church. Survivors are: his wife Martha Raper of the home; two daughters Mrs. Ogda Barnes of Sheldon, Washington, and Mrs. W. J. Barnes of Route one, Earlsboro; one son Ellis Raper of Shawnee; 12 grandchildren & several great grandchildren. Raper Services Today in Little Chapel: Services were being conducted at 2:30 p.m. today for Mrs. J. M. (Dessie) Raper, 66 years old, Jarvis community pioneer and church leader under direction of Gibson Funeral Home. Services were conducted in the Little cemetery chapel with Rev. G. R. Underwood, Assembly of God Church pastor of Jarvis officiating. Burial was in Little Cemetery. Mrs. Raper was known in her community as "The Mother of Jarvis Assembly of God Church." Her death Saturday evening in a Shawnee hospital followed an extended illness. In addition to her husband, J. M. Raper, she is survived by one son, Ellis, Shawnee; two daughters; Marie Barnes, Earlsboro and Odga Barnes, Shelton, MO; three brothers Sam Silas, Maud; Howard Silas, Bakerfield, Cal., and Arthur Silas, Tulsa; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rev. Jim H. Lawson, pastor of Assembly of God Church assisted Rev. Underwood in the Services. (Note: On Odga Barnes it has her living Shelton, Washington, on her father obit and Shelton, MO on her mothers obit. Not sure which state she lived in)
