Michael, The only Boldings that I have in my files is a Jeanne, that married a Shumpert. Her parents were Landt N. and Lenore Bolding. I have several Bolins, Bolens, Bollins, and other variations. I am not directly descended from any of those families, that I know of, (so far), but my grand mother had some old photos of a Sam and Jack Bolin, so I have been trying to find a family connection to them, probably to her McKay or Oswalt family. If you give us some more information on these people, like when they were born, married, died and where, we might be able to find more on them for you. That is the purpose of this list. I'm appealing to someone on the list. I would like to pay someone to go to the Itawamba Co. courthouse and photocopy an Estate Record for David Files. I have the packet number, but I live out of state and the courthouse is not open on weekends. I would also like to know if there is any type of Will/Estate/or Probate Record for Abner Lee Files who died in 1850. Hi my fellow Itawamba researchers! I subscribe to the Amory Newspaper for my parents, because they like to see if they know anyone in it. At their age, they usually find known names in the obits. I was recently looking at one of the papers, (they give them to me, when they have finished with them), and I saw where Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, lists their obits on the www.legacy.com website. I went there and typed in a conmon name of my families, and found some results. It is not just that paper but from several newspapers nationally. The one I found was of someone in Huntsville, that had Itawamba or Monroe County roots. You might find some of your more recent obits there too.
