I have updated my Franks Family of Caney Fork web site. I also discovered a problem .... the data base was too large and all of it was not visible. That has now been corrected and all of the names are now visible. http://members.tripod.com/~dickdfox/index-caneyfork.html Dick D. Fox http://members.tripod.com/~dickdfox/index-dickdfox.html
Do you have any information on a Laverne Conwill who married Guy West? Guy was a Baptist Minister. His parents were George Thomas West and Zora Digby. They may not be related to your Conwills. -----Original Message----- From: DPate80296@aol.com <DPate80296@aol.com> To: MSITAWAM-L@rootsweb.com <MSITAWAM-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Saturday, June 23, 2001 9:35 PM Subject: Re: [MSITAWAM-L] 1880 Itawamba Census images online >In a message dated 6/23/01 3:33:14 PM Pacific Daylight Time, cridge@ncia.net >writes: > > >> Sarah Elizabeth Parker, their daughter, later married Isaac Brinkley >> Conwill, my great grandfather. >> >> Any matches? >> > >Descendants of Sarah Elizabeth Parker > > 1 Sarah Elizabeth Parker b: March 12, 1851 in Itawamba Co., MS >d: April 24, 1950 in Itawamba Co., MS Burial: Providence Cem., Itawamba >Co., MS >.. +Issac Brinkley Conwill b: May 20, 1845 in Franklin Co., AL m: >November 13, 1867 in Itawamba Co., MS d: May 28, 1912 in Itawamba Co., MS >Burial: Providence Cem., Itawamba Co., MS Father: George Washington King >Conwill Mother: Elizabeth Prestridge > > >Marriage Index: AR, MS, MO, TX, 1766-1981 > >Itawamba County, Mississippi > >P626 s: PARKER, S E CONWELL, J B 1867-Nov-13 >

You might try the Itawamba forum, it has some Wiygul cemetery information. And I think the Old Spinghill Cemetery is near Saltillo in Lee County, don't think its online? Wayne: Thank You for keeping me updated on the meetings. I appreciate all the hard work you and your colleague's do for us little people. If it wasn't for the Historical Society there in Itawamba County I would have never been able to get all the infro I have on my ancestors. I visited Tupelo and Fulton last winter and enjoyed meeting some of the members and got to attend one of your meetings. I enjoyed it so much that I became a member myself (long distance member that is). On the topic of Cemetery Experiences by Mary Wages could you send me the tips she had on "Ways to Clean Headstones". I notice when I visit different cemeteries there are headstones that are not readable. Does Mississippi have its vital records online from the word go til present like Texas does? Ann
John, I guess I missed your first post but saw it when Jenny posted her reply! I looked at my marriage's on CD and only saw one John D.Spradling (in any spelling) in Itawamba County and he married Sarah L. Gossett on 4 Feb. 1873. (but these CD's are not complete most times!)
