Would like info on my grandparents,John Newton and Allie Gainy Hobson. I think they are buried in or near Lexington. I was told my ggranddaddy was killed by carpet baggers. Surname was Black?? but ws taken in and was raised?? by the Hobsons??. Any info on this??? I was born in rural Lexington (delivered by midwife Plunnie Thompson), but my family moved away when I was very young.. I did attend Lexington School in 1950?? and 51?? 1st and 2nd grades.
