I found selected minutes of Masonic Lodge No. 24, Lexington, Holmes County from June 24, 1840 - January 4, 1851 in the Lexington City Library. That Lodge was chartered in 1835 at which time Lexington had a population of 300. Additional information on Masonry in Lexington (a general history, also in the Lexington Library) was found in a publication "Lexington, Mississippi, Holmes County, 1833 - 1976, 'Clubs and Organizations' " compiled by the members of the Magnolia Garden Club, and published by the messenger press, Florence, MS in 1976.
