Hi Marietta, Do you have any history you might write for the page? I welcome that! Anyone whohas an ancestor from Holmes...please...if you'd like to write a story/history about your Holmes ancestors...please do so. They would be more than welcome. If you have old records....scan them and email to me. Is there something special coming up in the county? Yes, I could call my great Aunt and ask but it would be better if you all would write the story and email it to me. I'm not trying to get out of writing..I just think ppl who live in a place write about it better than some "yankee" from Middle Tennessee!! <G> (NO...I have NO yankee in me <VBG>) My husband is from Michigan but his sweet Mom is from ALabama so it's ok :) Ken and I have been married over 34 years...he even says, "y'all" now :) We have four grown daughters and eight grandkids...four of each! from 3 to 13!! An I LOVE it :) Thegirls, three of which are four, all want me to make their halloween costumes. As a lady from the Deep South I, of course, am making "Miss America" dresses, complete with velvet robe and a beautiful crown. Their Moms all won pageants when they were growing up so we had crowns lying around. My problem is this....how do you get a boy to wear a robe? <VBG> (I'm teasing...)
