Donna, Death records were not kept in Ms. until 1912, which I found out in my search. The courthouse fire was in the late 1800's and one marriage book and very few other records were saved. Francine Lafayette,La.
The court house fire in Holmes County was in 1884. The only record saved was one "Will" book. There were no records of marriages prior to 1885. I have the Holmes County Cemetery records and might be able to locate the person you are seeking.
