If so, it is the most delightful place for research that I have ever seen. At least it was when I was there about 10 years ago. They had every record imaginable and the fantastic envelopes full of probate records. Plan a full day there. I only had time to glance at the deed books because I spent so much time with the probate files. The deed books left me anxious for a return trip. In fact, I wish you could pick me up here in Dallas and I could go with you. It is just straight east from here. But no luck. I can't get away. Now that does not mean you should ignore Jackson because the archives there are well worth the trip also and they have a general genealogy section with books from other states as well.
