Are plentiful historical records available? Are people there helpful or do they want to be left alone? My Grandfather/Mother spent their entire lives in Copiah and Franklin Counties 1820 - 1924. Frustrated and unable to locate any useful information elsewhere, I am considering the lengthy trip down very shortly to locate records, if any, myself and would appreciate any advice learned from prior experience in dealing with these specific regions.
