He was living in Franklin Co.,MS in the late 1870's. He was married to Becky Martin and both are buried at Damasus Baptist Church in Franklin Co.,MS. Martin and Becky's children, Kate married to W.W.Jones, Mary or "Moll" never married, Eff m. to John Dow, Pearl m. Harve Wilson, John E. m. Missouri Smith, Edd m. Maude Myers, Ella Bernice m. William J. Travis, Addie m.John Smith and Bill never married. Ella Bernice is my wife grandmother. Martin and Becky no not have headstones at Damasus Cem. I understand they have other children buried at Damasus without headstones.
