Debbie, If you have found a cemetery book for Franklin County, MS besides the book by Paul Mogen and Katherine C. Mogen (now Ott) published in 1982 I would be extremely surprised. To my knowledge after many years working on Franklin County genealogy this is the only cemetery book that has been published. The 1850 Franklin County census shows the family of Middleton Thornhill and Robert Thornhill. House #193 Middleton THORNHILL 28 m MS farmer (married Elizabeth SIMMONS Elizabeth 22 f MS (1-28-1842 Copiah County,MS) James 6 m MS Willis 4 m MS Mary F 3 f MS House #426 Robert THORNHILL 63 m SC farmer (? m Penny MIDDLETON Permela 51 f SC (9-22-1813 Amite Co.,MS) Martha 18 f MS Nancy 16 f MS Looks like you need to do more digging in the censuses. Lots of the court house records in Meadville were burned in a fire around 1876, but there is still a lot of information available. Death certificates were not issued by the State of MS until about December 1912 and there were times after that when some deaths were not recorded. Tony Miller in Calabasas, CA
