He was an M.D. born 9/10/1834 in MS. Date of death unknown but he lived and practiced medicine in Roxey, MS. Wife was the former Sarah E. Black. She supposed died 1887. Two known children - son Cecil dates unknown and daughter Stacey Ellen b. 8/17/1885 d. 11/29/1905. Greatly appreciate any and all information.

Bob, There were 2 WRIGHT families in the 1840 Franklin Co., MS census. Both on page 163 of my Franklin Co Census book Elijah RIGHT 1 male 10-15 1 male 20-30 1 male 60-70 1 female 15-20 1 female 20-30 1 female 60-70 No slaves 3 in mining 1 insane 7 Dwellings away is Levi RIGHT 1 male under 5 1 male 30-40 1 male 40-50 1 female under 5 1 female 5-10 1 female 30-40 1 female slave 10-24 1 mining 1 commerce It would appear to me that Levi would be the father of your Rueben Jackson "Jack", if they were indeed still in Franklin Co in 1840, and by the looks of this the Elijah could be father of Levi.... You may have 2 generations right here!!!! You know you're family better than I do, and could determine whether or not this is who you are looking for... I certainly hope that I was of some help. PS... There is an Elijah WRIGHT in 1830 as well.
