I know the Freemans and Smith were interconnected, because three siblings married three siblings: Samuel A. Smith m. Elizabeth Freeman; Elizabeth Smith m. James A. Freeman, Sr.; and Mary Smith m. John Freeman. Suspect same is true of McManus. Adeline Elizabeth McManus m Isaiah Freeman and Andrew McManus m. Mary Freeman. Isaiah was brother to Angeline. Martha Jane McManus, stepdaughter of Isaiah m. James M. Whittington (lots of connections with Whittingtons)Got lots of Temples that married Freemans and Whittingtons, too
