I have all those old papers that belonged to my Aunt Eunice and my grandmother, Myrtis Wineman, and have gone through them many times, which takes a pretty good while to do. I have an old survey plat of the division of the J. C. Williams estate in 1910 which shows the old railroad track. There also was a road shown as "public road" at that time that ran northeast from Hamburg and that is abandoned, grown over and deep in the woods at this time. The plat also shows some old housesites that are no longer there, and one that still is- I have seen it in the woods while hunting. The old cistern is still visible beside it. I would like to find other old maps of the county, and hopefully they would show names of people who lived at those housesites and the name of the public roads, etc., as well as showing whether the areas were wooded at the time or in agricultural fields. many of the old surveyors would show such things on their plats. Have you seen any such old maps of the county? Again, I appreciate you responding to my email. -Wade
