Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Franklin/10883 Surname: Williams, Guice, Griffing, Mundy ------------------------- I've not seen the old plat map you mention, but I'm very interested and I have an idea that I may be able to help add some of the names to the old homesites. Pages 240 & 241 of the 1860 Franklin County census (M653) show the following families: House 27-John M. Ritchey; House 28-Asa J. Guice; House 29-John M. Griffing; House 30-Electious Williams; House 31-Edward N. Freeman...and the list goes on. John M. Griffing was a son of my ggg grandparents Jonathan Griffing and Lucinda Corban. After Lucinda's first husband died she became the wife of Littleton Mundy. After he died in 1854 she moved to Natchez to live with a daughter until she moved to Ohio with the daughter's family in 1865. The Mundy lands were turned over to her son John M. Griffing. John M. Griffing's sister, Sarah Jane, m. Jonathan M. Guice. They were my gg grandparents.
