A lot of families did move from 1870 to 1880 because they lost their land in MS in the wake of the Civil War or the land was worn out from use and they did not have money to buy more. Kate >> ok, this is really strange but I can't find them buried in Franklin Co, MS or Franklin Parish, LA where the some of the children moved later it seems that some of the family moved back to Franklin Co, MS later I'm figuring it's 1 of 3 things either they all died they moved away or they were gone on a trip it's so hard with 1880 the soundex isn't showing them but, they probably wouldn't have had children under 10 in the family I checked a tax rolls film some were there in 1868 in 1883 & 1884 I found no Thornhill's paying taxes in Franklin Co, MS take care, Debbie
