For Loretta: This is what I have in my Jones file: The beginning of the Jones Family that I know: Hezekiah Jones b. 1808/ died 2-5-1883. He married *Aeann/Arann/Orra Ann/ Arre A. Lazurus b. 1824/ died 3-17-1922. Both are buried in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetary 4 miles north of Eddiceton, Ms. or Honey Grove as it was called in the earlier years. Their children: Mary T. Jones (my Ggrandmother) b. 12-11-1850, died 2-16-1928, Married on 12-17-1868 to David Monroe McCaa b. 10-30-1845 died 1-17-1922. 2. Martha Jane Jones b. 12-18-1853 died 8-17-1946. Married William C. Cobb 2-4-1877. She was married on 8-1-1889 to B.S. Groom (Groom was also married to Rebecca McCaa before this marriage.??) 3. Richard Jones (no futher info?) 4. James M. Jones b. 2-15-1858 died 7-22-1920. He was married on 1-15-1880 to Martha Jane Wactor b. 12-16-1861 died 6-29-1960. 5. Anna Jane Jones b. about 1859. She married Joseph Ezell on 6-18-1876. 6. William J. Jones b. about 1861 died between the years of 1879 and 1886. He married Charity O. Smith 12-25-1879. Charity Smith was b. about 1860. She later married William A. "Bill" Preisteron 1-3-1886. 7. John Wesley Jones b. 2-5-1866, died 2-25-1958. He married Sarah Josiephine Priester on 5-31-1885. Sarah was b. 3-31-1870, died 3-10-1965. * Ann Lazurus was found by many names on the different census records. Have no idea which one is correct?? William "Bill" Priester is the brother to Sarah Josiephine Priester Jones. I have the descendants of Mary T. Jones and David M. McCaa, who were my Ggrandparents, the rest I do not.
