    2. Nancy Brister
    3. I found this site while doing a Laurinburg, NC search, which is where my Scottish McCormicks first settled. These are wonderful letters, a few back into the 1700's, but most are letters between family members in Laurinburg, NC and Mississippi during the 1800's. It's a McIntyre Family website and the letters include many familiar Scottish names and others, too. For those who have an interest in these areas or like to read things like this.....enjoy. http://www.hal-pc.org/~jdm/DocumentFrames.html Nancy, researching, Doty/Warren/Stringer of MA/VA/NC/GA/MS McCormick/Dawkins/Carmichael of NC/SC/MS Garrett of SC/MS Matthews/Jackson of IL/TN/MO/TX/LA Cain/Garmon/Yancey of GA/TX

Thomas married second, Mary Polly Workman, b. 1803, d. 1891. Their children: Frederick, b. 1822. Had one child, John Wiley (Little Wiley). Thomas Jefferson (Jeff), b. 1823. Caroline, b. 1824. 1. [MSFRANKL-L] Excerp from Nancy Brister
    2. Edward J. Hall, Jr.
    3. But most researchers I've run across on the various Rootsweb lists don't really have a problem comparable to yours, because they usually either don't have as much data and/or they don't find as many people who share the same lines as you do. Really, I've been amazed at the number of people on the Franklin list who have ties to your lines. I've been on many, many lists for about 5 or 6 years now, and it's not an everyday situation for people with family ties to "find" each other. I've only found a couple of dozen people on ALL my lists and message boards combined who are fellow descendants or even from the same families......but I can't keep track of how many you've found on ONE list!!! Nancy: First off I only am posting a part of the email I asked about sending to this list. Reason being, I have contemplated making or getting someone to make a list for such a reason as you describe. My other reason is to suggest a few ways to some on list to make hits which i feel they may be doing or not doing. Often I have recieved requests for surname/s only with a date of some year (maybe) and while I am not wanting to be rude, and I know the person who sends such requests is in all honesty just trying to make a connection, I think it would help if we tend to list more information on children and grandchildren of whomever we ask about, and give as much information as possible. I know you think I am hitting a lot of folks and have a large data base, and while it is true, the way I find information for my data base, is connecting the dots so to speak. I have to follow lines of marriages that veer away from my main lines, but when I find one that veers back, usually it will include information leading up to the one where I was stuck on. Case in point, SULLIVAN we have been sharing about. I connect a piece, and someone else had a piece, and then I find another, and now I am waiting to hear more from Melba on her piece (THAT book which may take us all back a long ways I am hoping filling in a lot of gap information.) So I am wondering if I should make a list or some kind of email list...Will wait to see what others think on this. I do not intend to post my whole data base on the web. I feel I would not get enough data input back to me. Which is why I want to share with everyone. I may be slow, and this week I have been paying the cost of my camping weekend, (TAKE A NICE SOFT PAD NEXT TIME) at least I am back checking out look ups etc. again.
