    3. Hi Leon, I know you know this, but to clarify for others: Susan Zumbro was the widow of John A (or H?) Zumbro when she became the 5th wife of James (C?) (Jim) Cupit. I too, have been unable to verify the date of death of Josephine Sanders. She is buried in the fenced and roofed, but unmarked, grave #52 at Cool Springs, directly East of the church building. The roofed structure does not date earlier than the 1920's in my opinion (I rebuilt and re-roofed it in 1999). That does not mean that the structure was not built some time AFTER she was buried. All of Jim Cupit's wives, and their marriage dates are: (1) Mary Caroline Nix, m 21 December 1842 1 daughter: Alice (2) Mary Ezell, m 4 September 1863 no children (3) Frances Susan Wells, m 8 March 1866 4 sons: James C Cupit, Jr; Jaye Short Cupit; Dee Cupit; John Lee Cupit (4) Josephine Watson (1st husband: E E Leggett and 2nd husband: Thomas Jefferson Sanders) no children, m 26 December 1895 Josephine's only children were with her 2nd husband: Thomas Jefferson Sanders who died in 1884. They are: (1) Edward Cornelius Sanders b 1874 (2) Ada Rosaline Sanders b 1877 (who married James Elihu McCaa and had 9 little McCaas from 1896 to 1918!) (5) Susan Wactor (1st husband: John A (or H?) Zumbro) no children, m 7 June 1899 Best Regards, Glenn Glenn Cupit Wilson, Louisiana ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jagi3@aol.com> To: <MSFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2001 11:20 PM Subject: Re: [MSFRANKL-L] Middleton, Wactor, Temple, Lee > I am not doing Zumbro's, but did have a interest in Josephine Watson > Sanders, Leggett, Cupit. > > Several members of the family has posted this but we are trying to find the > year Josephine died. 3. thanks for the reply. Jesse Ford married a Wactor as his second wife in 1850's so you are right that this cannot be the same woman. Are you doing the Zumbro's? I have a little data on them because Alice Zumbro married George Smith, parents of Rowena Smith--my father's first wife. I did as much on that family as I could for my nieces and nephews as they are related. Would be happy to share what little I have. HI: Have been cleaning out old files and found this memo-Could the Mary Ann Zumbro who married into the Wactor family have been widowed and then married Jesse Ford? or is that another Mary Ann Wactor? He married a second time to a Wactor who had a daughter . Am interested in the Ford family. 3. Posted on: Franklin Co. Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ms/Franklin/10848 Surname: Carlock, Parker ------------------------- I, too, believe that this is the family of Elizabeth, but do not yet have the definitive paperwork proof. Since Elizabeth was born about 1810, I think that she must have been the sister of Joseph Samuel Carlock. But when I try to find her listed as a sibling of his, I have no luck. Maybe she is a cousin. Many Carlocks have been traced for many years, but Elizabeth is never listed as a child of any of those that are documented. Nor have I been able to find a definitive record of birth or of death dates for Elizabeth. Oh well, the hunt is as gratifying as the find. (Well...Almost). Thanks for the input, cousin, I have seen your database and used it before to trace ancestors. Regards, Warren Parker

I believe they lived in the Franklin Co, MS area. I show two siblings, William Carlock who married Martha Williams, and Martha Carlock who William Patterson. The parents are shown as John Carlock and Wilhelmina //. John Carlock is s/o Frederick Cornelius Carlock, who is s/o David Carlock b. 1679 in Palatinate, Germany.
