Hi Bob :) Thanks for letting me know about Mildred Scott :) And with such a common name as Morgan, I'm confused all the time ... LOL. I have a partial theory about my Morgan's ... John and James Morgan lived very close to one another in the 1840 census (DeSoto) so I'm figuring that there is a family connection. Also the first born of James Morgan was William Alonzo Morgan. So I've been hunting William/John/James while census hunting. The J.S. Morgan you mention, is (I think), the other Ja's S. Morgan I found in the 1840 census. He was single at the time, and I think a merchant (as opposed to agriculture). He lived farther away from my James and John (or rather, James and John were on page 107/108 and James S. was on page 123 ... to confuse things further, there were more Martindale's by James S ... gotta love the census for causing more confusion ... LOL Also, I got an email from Nedreva Beck <nedreva@yahoo.com> and am awaiting another email from her, as she indicated that she had the family records for Nancy Martindale Morgan's second marriage. I was incorrect, it wasn't Daury, but rather Drury. Nedreva stated that her grandmother was Nancy Drury, stepsister to my Pleasant Decator Morgan. Glad I'm young enough to keep at this ... I'll topple my brick walls yet *grin* Thanks again! Lori Our Mixed Nuts .. err ..
