GUNTOWN is where a famous battle of the Civil War took place. It is called the "BATTLE OF BRICES CROSSROADS" by historians but my GGGrandfather called it the "BATTLE OF GUNTOWN" on his Pension Application. Might be a good place to look for someone who might have died during the war. Pam
