Hi, I'm new to the list and would like to know if anyone can help me with my "brick wall". Does anyone know what newspapers covered DeSoto Co., MS between 1839-1842? I need to find an obituary. My ggggrandfather, Robert B. THOMSON, moved to MO between 1839-1842 and died there a year after he arrived. I have found two conflicting death dates for him, 04 Oct 1839 and 26 Sep 1842. His wife and children left shortly after his death and moved to DeSoto Co., MS to be with "family". I don't know which family, but it could have been with THOM(P)SON or PHILLIPS families. Any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Thanks, Donna
