Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Covington/847 Surname: DYKES ------------------------- Hi,I see that you have info on James C.Dykes and his sister,Harriet.Do you know if their father,Jacob H.Dykes,had a brother name of James Dykes.In the 1850 census of Covington Co.,they are both in there and I can't get past James to find out who his father was.His son,Isaac Newton,was my ggrandfather.Since there was only 4 yrs difference between Jacob and James,I thought maybe they were brothers and that might help me get a little closer to finding out who James' father was.I have some info,not completely verified,that James was born somewhere around New Orleans,La.If you could help me in any way,I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks,Dawn
