Stith Hiram Short was my grandfather. He married Sarah Margaret Aultman. They had three children who lived. The family was living in Sweetwater, Texas when he died of appendicitis in 1916. My father, Stith Hiram, was born after the death of his dad. My grandmother brought their daughters, Inez and Maggie Lee, back to her family farm in Covington County where they lived in the Mt Horeb Community. My grandparents are buried at the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery.
