They were Elias Goodson and wife Ann both born in SC and were in Newton Co in 1840. I think they must have died before 1860, as the children all seem to leave the area at that time. Their children were: Russell, Jefferson, Thomas, Margaret, Matilda and poss. Robert. Son Russell was married to Martha Ann Jones in Newton Co in 1848. Shewas the daughter of Thomas P. and Susanna Jones who are also found in Cov. in 1850. They too seem to disappear before 1860. Any help will be appreciated and I will gladly exchange info.
