This book was written by Jean Strickland ( now deceased) whose husband had South Mississippi roots. She was a friend of mine and I remember her mentioning she had some deadends with her line. Some of them could easily have been in Cov Co at one time. She wrote over 100 genealogy books in southern Mississippi.
