He shows up in the 1850 census but I haven't been able to find anything else. There is also a James Ates born in 1828 in Covington County? that is probably related. I believe these were my Great Grandfather's ancestors and I'd like to find more info if available. If anyone knows of Loten C. Ates born 2-14-1866 I'd appreciate information also. I believe he was born in Mississippi but not sure exactly which county. Thanks
