She married Daniel Archie RUTLAND, b Jan 24, 1865 in Covington Co, Ms and died in 1942, Marion Co, Ms. My information shows the CHAINS, DYKES, and RUTLANDS connected several ways over the years. Mary (Pollie) RUTLAND married James DYKES, 1839 William R. RUTLAND married Mary Elizabeth CHAIN, 1845, dau of William Chain and Melinda Pickering Chain. James Alexander CHAIN married Susan RUTLAND....Susan was a sister to William and James a brother to Mary E. I also show James Franklin RUTLAND married to Sarah DYKES, but have learned she may have been a CRAWFORD, or married to a Crawford before Franklin. Do you know the relationship of Harriet Dykes Chain to James Dykes and Sarah Dykes? Do you have dates for "Gabe" Chain and "Little Jim" Dikes who are buried in the Rutland Cemetery near Mt Olive in Covington Co? Both have home made stones with no dates, only the inscription "lost his life in the Shiloh battle" on both stones. Do you have anything on William, Mary Ann (Pollie), and Susan Rutland's father?
