They did live in Covington Co. on the edge of Smith County, MS. It is possible that this was a relative since family names were passed down and your Doctor may be the origin for my Dock's name. I have info that Dock Elias' father was J. F. Marion Hall b. 12/1/1840 d. 7/25/1891 and Marion's father may be Abram J. Hall b. 12/1/1817 d 6/26/1892 married to a Martha. Does any of this link?
