He was born in Great Britain in 1769 and moved from South Carolina to Mississippi for Indian lands in Smith county. When he arrived,none were available. He had a brother who was with him at the time. Jacob married a Sarah Ivey. They had a son named Swinton,who had a son named Josiah John Gibsdon (JJG) and they had a son named Dunacan Francis my ggrandfather.
