He moved to Henry/ Barbour county Alabama (probably as a young boy)around 1830. He married Eliza Wright and they had ten children. Many Southern Mathisons are related to this original couple. Do you think any of these Covington County Mathisons might have ties to this branch of the Mathison tree? I would love to hear from you.
