Other siblings include Alphia b. 1814 & Joe (who had sons Martin & Hugh)and other possible sibling Elizabeth, b. 1829, MS. John had a brother named Wilson. They were Elias Goodson and wife Ann both born in SC and were in Newton Co in 1840. I think they must have died before 1860, as the children all seem to leave the area at that time. Their children were: Russell, Jefferson, Thomas, Margaret, Matilda and poss. Robert. Son Russell was married to Martha Ann Jones in Newton Co in 1848. Shewas the daughter of Thomas P. and Susanna Jones who are also found in Cov. in 1850. They too seem to disappear before 1860. Any help will be appreciated and I will gladly exchange info.

She married first John Lewis Bryant b. 1785 SC. There's alot of discussion as to where he was born...some say Bath; Bristol, Avon; Somerset, England, Great Britain, so there's research to be done there. He died Abt. 1828 en route to Mississippi in the process of moving his family there from SC. He and Cynthia were married 1807 Barnwell Co., SC. They had six children Willis, Jessie Levi, Allen, Mary Jane, Levi Lewis, and Isabelle. Cynthia then married Charles Phillips November 29, 1828. There were three children born to this marriage. Piety Elizabeth Phillips, Rebecca "Becky" Phillips and Alpha Permelia Phillips. By all accounts this marriage was hard due to Charles' illness and he also died (bef. 1840)leaving Cynthia with children to raise alone. Was your GG Grandfather Joseph Levi Bryant b. March 20, 1831 died August 05, 1877 married to Mary J. Granberry? If so, I believe he was raised by Cynthia after his father, Willis Bryant, and mother, Nancy F. Phillips Bryant, died. I believe Nancy F. Phillips was a child of Charles Phillips and his first wife, Eliza Polk.
