His name was Simeon Bethea Thomas. In the 1850 Caldwell parish,La census there is a Robert Cole age 61 b. Maryland , living with him. We believe him to be the father of Simeon's wife who died around 1840. We do not know her name or if she even was a Cole. IN 1860 Simeon had a James Cole 41 b. S.C. This may be a brother -in - law of nephew of Simeon's wife. I don't know if this helps? He was born, I believe abt 1869 (place unknown). He died approx. 1932 in Jones County, MS. Since I know virtually nothing about him, I am going on a hunch that he might be related to the Robertson family somehow. Does anyone know of Reeves connection to Norvell Robertson? I also suspect that they might of given him that name because they were connected to Norvell's church. Does anyone know what part of Covington County this church was? I am assuming he had a church since he was a minister. I believe someone told me once it was a Methodist church.
