As a result of the visit, I now realize that my GILBERT ancestors got land from the BLM in Copiah Co., but that the land became part of Lincoln Co when it was formed in 1870. Neighbors were the Applewhites: Seth, John & Eldridge. These names appeared in the probate records for William & Webster Gilbert. Do you have any references to these Applewhites in the Mississippi Bible & Cemetery Records book? I am trying to pinpoint the land where they lived. I suspect they were buried (abt 1840) on their respective properties, probably without any permanent markers. Larry Hallstrom
