Hi, Barbara, That's right! I thought I remembered your address and name but a delayed reaction! <LOL> Thanks. Ainsworth is my maiden name and my line was in Copiah Co., MS. The Simpson Co., Smith Co., Jones Co., Hinds Co., etc. were all cousins to my line. Alvy Leon Ainsworth was the son of John Wiley Ainsworth and Mary Etta Conn; his grand parents were Hasten Patrick Ainsworth and Lucy Ann Smith; his great grandparents were Emanuel Ainsworth and Mary Smith (until a few weeks ago, I thought that Hasten was the son of Elizabeth Blakeney but the 1870 Smith Co. census proved that was incorrect); 2nd great grandparents were Sampson Jefferson (or Jeffrey) Ainsworth and Anna Jones; 3rd great grandparents were Thomas Ainsworth and Sarah Finch; after this the next several generations are unproven. You might be interested in a book that I was just using on microfiche at the local LDS Family History Center. "William Ruffin Family History" by H. H. Daniel had a number of Myricks in it. I photocopied about 80 pages showing the Ainsworth - Ruffin lines but I remember seeing the name Myrick and wondering if you had seen the book. Barbara >>
