Some updated directions to Old Crystal Springs Cemetery-there is no longer an ice cream parlor. So here goes-- Go west from Highway 51 on West Georgetown Street. Do not take New Zion Road, but instead continue on West Georgetown. You will be about a mile from Highway 51 when you approach Old Crystal Springs Cemetery on the left, so it is not possible to see where you turned in the rear view mirror. Things have changed since 1954 when the Cemetery Book was first published. Dan
What they finally tore it down! Oh my goodness, a landmark, here, this is not funny I know but that place was there for so many years, see how nice it is to live there and be able to learn thanks Dan, anyone got the New Zion Cemetery book, there isnt one I know, already ask Mrs. Singletery, someone needs to see if they can get them to do one,, wouldnt that be nice At 04:51 PM 6/19/2001 EDT, DANJSN@aol.com wrote: >Some updated directions to Old Crystal Springs Cemetery-there is no longer an ice cream parlor. Hi, again, I only just noticed what I presum is your married name of AINSWORTH. I am not AINSWORTH descended but my father's sister married an AINSWORTH. My aunt's name is Ellen Grace MYRICK and she married Alvy Leon "Pee Wee" AINSWORTH in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana near Oak Grove. Ellen is the daughter of Allie Artimissa PARKER, born: 11 Aug 1892 near Braxton, Simpson Co., MS, and James Martin "Jim" MYRICK, born: 1892 near Magee, Simpson Co., MS. Allie is the daughter of the Spencer PARKER who is the son of the Jeremiah "Jerry" PARKER in the census information. I believe the AINSWORTH family was also, originally, from Simpson County, MS as well. I have information on them in my files.
