    3. Hello Listers, I have Jesse Avery who died in Aug. 1972 (sorry no day) who last resided in Crystal Springs, MS. Jesse was born in AL. His wife was Mira Avery. Can anyone help in locating an obit. on Jesse? If not, can someone tell me the name or names of any local funeral homes operating in 1972? Or maybe the name of the local library that could help me. Thanks in advance. Don Avery Massachusetts

    3. Hi again, Another thought. I will be in that area in October. If you haven't got any info by then, I will look up the obit in the local papers. 3. Hi, The Hazelhurst Library in Hazelhurt, one town below Crystal Springs has an incredible genealogy library. The guy who runs the geneaology section of the library has an antiques business in town as well. He is a wealth of information. Knows a little something about all the local families. I would give them a try. Annie Donald Avery wrote: > > Hello Listers, > > I have Jesse Avery who died in Aug. 1972 (sorry no day) who last resided in Crystal Springs, MS. Jesse was born in AL. 3. Hi, Don - Do you have a mailing address on Avery's? It's possible that would help if we know someone who lives in same neighborhood. This isn't like a 1800 search - their may be living neighbors or friends who could help if we could narrow this a little more. Good luck! 3. Hello, I'm new to the MSCOPIAH list. Hope someone can help please. I'm looking for info on Mira AVERY, wife of Jesse Avery who probably died in the 1960's in the Crystal Spring area. Jesse & Mira lived most of their married life in Meridian, MS. It was believed that Mira returned to Crystal Springs after Jesse's death, so she could be closer to her sisters. Jesse was originally from the Dothan, AL area. I do not know Mira's maiden name. I do know that they had no children. Does anyone recognize this couple? Thanks in advance, Don Avery Massachusetts
