Thanks, Honey. Yes, I had found him in the 1850 census there, but he doesn't seem to appear in the 1860 census for that county. Then he reappears in the 1866 state census for MS living in Clarke Co. near his in-laws the Coopers. He died in 1869, but I've been unable to locate where he went between 1866 and 1869, so can't find his burial place. Appreciate it--- Leslie Hill
